When and how do social differences lead to social divisions? What are the circumstances when it becomes easier to accommodate them.

when one social difference overlaps over the other social difference then it leads to social division

for eg. blacks were poor and were discriminated for a much longer time and the whites were rich and have discriminated blacks.

*when the social differences cross-cut each other then it becomes easier to accomodate.

hope it helps...
