Mahatma Gandhi, our beloved Bapu, was born on 2nd October, 1869 in Porbandar in Gujarat.
He went to South Africa and he worked in a firm as a lawyer.
He was shot by a fanatic Nathuram Godse on 30th January 1948 (some months after independence). Bapuji collapsed and with a smile on his face and RAM NAM on his lips, he died shortly.
