Sai Mian Mir was is known as the person who laid the foundation stone of Harmandir Sahib in 1589.  

Explanation:

The Harmandir temple which is known by people as Golden Temple (a temple which is made up of gold) situated in Amritsar, Punjab. According to the historical records or data, the foundation stone of this temple (Golden temple) was actually set down by the Sri Guru Arjun Dev Ji (5th Guru of the Sikh community) but some has debated that Sai Mian Mir was the one who did this. This temple has been demolished many times for many reason but people have built it again due their deep deviation and faith in the Sikh religion.
