Poona pact was signed in September 1932.AMBEDKAR DEMANDED FOR SEPERATE ELECTRORATE FOR THE DEPRESSED CLASS.WHEN THE BRITISH OFFICIALS AGREED, GANDHIJI WENT FOR A FAST UNTO DEATH.IT IS BECAUSE HE BELEIVED THAT SEPERATE ELECTRORATE FOR DALITS WOULD SLOW DOWN THE PROCESS OF INTEGRATION OF SOCIETY.AMBEDKAR FINALLY AGREED WITH GANDHI AND THAT RESULTED IN POONA PACT
