The battle of Waterloo was fought on 15th June 1815, in Waterloo Belgium.

It was fought between the Napoleon Bonaparte of France and the Seventh Coalition- Great Britain, Russia, Spain, Portugal, Prussia, Austria, and Sweden.

The battle was fought by the Seventh Coalition because of the atrocious and expansionist policies of Napoleon Bonaparte in Europe. The Napoleon had dominated Europe continuously fought wars with European powers for last 23 years.

Napoleon was defeated and thus ended the recurrent war of 23 years.
