Simon Commission was sent in India in the year 1927.The commission basically consisted of seven people who were asked to study the reforms to be made on the largest and most important colony of the British. The commission was headed by Lord Simon to decide India's political future. The Indians opposed it because the commission had no Indian representative that made the Indians angry. And thus all political groups decided to boycott the commission.
Hope it helps!
