When aqueous solution of silver nitrate (AgNO3) is mixed with an aqueous solution of Sodium Chloride (NaCL), a white precipitate of Silver Chloride (AgCL) is formed.

Solid AGCL is not soluble in water.

Silver Nitrate and Sodium Chloride are both soluble in water.

When the two compounds are mixed together, double reaction happens which is called precipitation reaction with the formation of white precipitate of Silver Chloride.

Sodium Nitrate is also formed.
