When bod increases population of fishes start decreasing. Why ?

Answer:

BOD stands for biochemical oxygen demand . It is the amount of oxygen required by the microorganisms to oxidise organic waste .If the organic waste is much in water microorganisms will consume more oxygen and less will be available for fishes .

Due to this they'll slowly die and their population will decrease .

Explanation:

To increase the fish population of a river, sea ranching is a very good option. but it should be noted the there is enough ecological space for the ranched fish, the ranched fish should adopt to the ecological habitat if it is not the indigenous species of the river,the mesh size regulation and fishing ban during spawning season have to be strictly followed. Pollution of the riverine water has to be monitored.
