REASON

=======

When a travelleing car is stopped by applying brakes..

The kinetic enrgy of the car is transformed into heat energy.

. Which gets wasted.. As tge tyres rub against the road and the stopping pad.. And due to friction heat is generated.

When the brake is applied, kinetic energy is converted into thermal energy.

  • Friction braking is used in modern vehicles.
  • It involves turning kinetic energy into thermal energy by providing friction to a system's moving elements.
  • The frictional force resists motion and, as a result, produces heat, which slows down speed thus, bringing the velocity to a halt.
  • The energy contained within a system that is accountable for its temperature is referred to as thermal energy.
