Step-by-step explanation:

a) Perimeter of first rectangle=60cm

Width=x

  1. 2(Length + Breadth)=60
  2. 2(Length + x)=60
  3. Length= (60/2)-x
  4. Length=30-x

b) length of the newly formed rectangle = 30-x-3

27-x

c) (x+2)(27-x)=210

x^2-25x+156=0

If x=13. Length=17

If x=12. Length=18
