When building a slope fraction from a right triangle (look at Lesson 11 Summary notes on pages 112-133):
1. Does the length of the horizontal side go in the numerator (top of the fraction) or the denominator (bottom of the fraction)?
2. Does the length of the vertical side go in the numerator or the denominator?
3. Can you use ANY points on the line to build a slope fraction?

Answer:

1 a fraction, there are two numbers. One number is written above a horizontal line (i.e., 5) and the other is written below it (i.e., 7). The top part is called the numerator and the bottom part is called the denominator. The horizontal line between both the numbers is called the fraction bar.

First, a fraction is made up of two integers—one on the top, and one on the bottom. The top one is called the numerator, the bottom one is called the denominator, and these two numbers are separated by a line.30-Nov-2020
