When Calcium carbonate reacts with nitric acid then it forms calcium nitrate, carbon dioxide and water.

The reaction are as follows::

CaCO3 + 2HNO3 ===> Ca(NO3)2 + CO2 + H2O


Means:


Calcium carbonate + Nitric acid ==> Calcium Nitrate + Carbon dioxide + water.
