when calcium is added to water taken in a beaker rise of temperature is observed however when the BA alcohol is mixed with the NH4cl falling temperature is observed ? why?

In calcium + water reaction,
it is an exothermic process.so the temperature will be raise and eliminated.
But in alcohol + ammonium chloride ,
it is an endothermic process.
so the temperature will be fallen(lowering).
