(1) If the security of the country is threatened by war or external aggression or internal armed rebellions, the president can declare a state of emergency.

(2) If the government of a state is not being run in accordance with the constitution, the president can declare a state of emergency in that state.

(3) When the financial stability of the country is threatened, the President can declare a state of financial emergency.

During such a situation all the state governments stops working and the power comes under the Center
