When CaO is added to water taken in a beaker, rise in temperature is observed. However, when Ba(OH)² is mixed with NH4, the temperature decreases, Why??? Give reason.

NH4 is an acid. Ba(OH)^2 is also an acid. When two acids react with each other temperature decreases. Calcium oxide is base. It is basic oxide which is highly reactive
