When cell gets divided, why are the divided cells always called DAUGHTER CELLS but not a son cell ( even in the case of division by meiosis)?

This is because the cells have to grow up to be female because only famales can give birth. In other words,After division new cells are formed which get mature after some time and divide to form other new cells which is compred to girls producing young/new ones so called daughter cells.

The parent cell is oftencalled the mother cell, and thedaughter cells are so named because they eventually become mother cellthemselves.”

Explanation:

A possible possible explanation to this can be

when a cell gets maturerd it divides into its progeny which on further maturation perform the same process.

The process of Giving birth to a new one is always associated with a Female.. Hence it is named Daughter cells as "Males" cannot give birth to a baby but a daughter can

I hope it helps
