The product formed is CH₃CH₂CHCl NH₂

1. First Sodium breaks into Sodium ion and Amide ion.

2. Now amide ion breaks the chlorine bond in hydrocarbon forming a hydrocarbon ion and chlorine ion.

3. Now the amide ion reacts with hydrocarbon ion to amine.

4.The chlorine ion forms sodium chloride with sodium ion.

5. If we have extra molecules of NaNH₂ then it forms a di-amine.

6. In presence of HCl it forms propyne.
