when coal burns particles of soot rise up above the fire and make smoke why doesnt the smoke move along the ground?

The soot particles very light , lighter than air so the rising hot gasses from the fire drag the particles upwards with them.

when the coal burns,the particals of soot rise up above bcuz the soot particles are very light and less in weight.so the particals are rise up...
