When copper sulphate is heated then it loses its water of crystallisation to form white anhydrous copper sulphate..


The reaction is as follows::

CuSO4• 5H2O ==>Heat=>CuSO4 + 5H2O

It changes from blue to white.When water is poured it changes from white to blue again
