When blue coloured copper sulphate crystals are heated their colour changes from blue to white due to loss of water molecules.

Hi user!!!

when you heat it it looses the water of crystallization hence turns white. When hydrate is heated, water molecules face a choice. ... When all the water is evaporated from hydrate, copper ions are left with only sulfate ions intheir surroundings. As a result, substance changes its color from blue to white.

Hope it helps u!!!!
