Curd contains Lactic acid which is an organic acid containing carboxyl group.
When very reactive metals react with lactic acid, Hydrogen gas is liberated and metal salt is formed. The salts of certain metals like copper, Nickel, Zinc, lead etc. are toxic. These salts do not have any good function in the biological function of the human body. Some salt of silver is also toxic.
The lactate salts of the above metals are probably toxic.
