We know that,

When the current flows in the conducting wire then the electron moves in opposite direction.

The direction of current density is toward positive charge. It means the  current density is opposite direction of motion of electrons.

The direction of electric field is toward positive charge. It means the  electric field is opposite direction of motion of electrons.

Hence, The motion of electrons and E are in opposite directions.
