If density of ethanol  =  0.8 g/cm3

then,

1 cm³ is occupied by 0.8 g C₂H₅OH

0.8 g of ethanol = 1 cm³

1 g of ethanol=   ( 1/0.8 ) cm³

now, 1 mol ethanol = 46 g

46 g of ethanol = (46/0.8) cm³

46 g of ethanol = 57.5 cm³

But 46 g of ethanol = 6.023 x 10²³ molecules of ethanol

therefore,

6.023 x 10²³ molecules = 57.5 cm³

1 molecule ethanol = (57.5 / 6.023 x 10²³) cm³

1 molecule ethanol = 9.458 x 10⁻²³ cm³
