Fought between British east India company led by hector Munro and combined armies of Mir Qasim ( nawab of Bengal), nawab of Oudh (Awadh) shuja-ud-daulah and Mughal emperor Shah Alam.

CONSEQUENCES:

Britishers won the battle.
Shah Alam submitted to the British
Nawab Shuja-ud-Daulah fled to rohila
Mir Qasim also fled and died few years later
