. Champaran Satyagraha was the first movement started by Gandhiji in 1917 in India. Champaran Satyagraha was started in the Champaran district of Bihar. During the rule of British, the farmers of Champaran District and some other district of Bihar's farmers are force to grow Indigo on their part of land, often under some oppressive condition. Farmers doesn't want to grow Indigo on their land but Britishers forcely let them work.
