Actually, Islam is the message of all the messangers (Peace Be Upon All Of Them). From adam to Muhammad(Peace Be Upon Him) and the final relevation came in the period of jahiliyah.
Islam arise in 6th century by prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by revelation through Gabriel from GOD. It is the final massege of the relegion of GOD.
Main teaching of islam is to worship the only CREATOR not associating any partner with Him. It is a direct relationship to GOD by eliminating the statues/idol (picture,son,daughter or any creation) and to spread the peace in the world.
And the five pillars of islam can be said as the main teachings of islam.
The five pillars are:-
Tauhid, Oneness of GOD;
Charity,
Prayer,
Hajj/pilgrimage,
fasting.
Why was Muhammad (PBUH) forced to regrate
with his followers from mecca to madina
because of his message to worshipping the only creator, befire the arrival if prophet Muhammad (PBUH) 600 yrs after Jesus (PBUH) the people of mecca used to worship the idols and they beleived in many many gods. So the prophet's message was not liked by the pagans,the jews and the Christians, they did not accept him as a prophet or the message of oneness of god and therefore, the idol worship was tried many plans for preventing him(PBUH) from spreading the message. Like, Boycotted him, spreaded rumours about him, and when they failed to stop him and the people accepting the message of GOD. Then finally, They decided to kill him (PBUH), Then the followers of prophet (PBUH) asked him to fight but the honorable prophet(PBUH) refused as he did not want to fight and decided to leave mecca nd went to madina.
