When did Kalpana Chawla died and when she went to space?

She went on a mission STS - 107 in Columbia Spacecraft.
When, after spending 16 days there, with her 6 more astronauts, she was returning on Earth on 1st feb, I guess, 2003, Her spacecraft got destroyed due to friction, thus ending a Jack

Nd she went to space 1997.
