Answer:

When Was Mesolithic Age ?

The Mesolithic Age, also known as the Middle Stone Age was the period of development of the human technology that was between the Paleolithic Stone Age and the Neolithic Stone Age. ‘Epipaleolithic’ is another term that is used for denoting Mesolithic and this is actually the term that has been used for industrial complexes in most of the explanations of the prehistoric archeology.

As far as the Mesolithic Age is concerned, it was categorized into two different stages; Mesolithic 1 which started of around 20,000 to 18,000 BC till the 12,150 BC which followed the Levantine Upper Paleolithic all over the Levant. As it approached towards its end, several changes appeared in terms of the stone industries. By 18,000 BC, the climate as well as the environment had undergone changes that started of with a transition period. Levant turned much more arid and forest vegetation was retreated which was supposed to be replaced by the steppe.

Then the second stage known as the Mesolithic 2 also known as the Natufian culture started following the pervious kind where the change from previous stage to this one was very close. The Natufian culture had started around 11,140 BC. This time period was categorized by the start of agriculture that was supposed to emerge as the Neolithic period in the future years. Mesolithic Age is known to begin in 8500 BC in general and lasted till 4000 BC. Archaeologists have been involved in finding out sufficient resources that could help get more information about this particular age.
