when did Mother Teresa become a Catholic nun
Answers
The Catholic Church, also known as the Roman Catholic Church, is the largest Christian church, with approximately 1.3 billion baptised Catholics worldwide as of 2016.[4] As the world's "oldest continuously functioning international institution",[5] it has played a prominent role in the history and development of Western civilisation.[6] The church is headed by the Bishop of Rome, known as the Pope. Its central administration, the Holy See, is in the Vatican City, an enclave within the city of Rome in Italy.
On 10 September 1946, Teresa experienced what she later described as "the call within the call" when she traveled by train to the Loreto convent in Darjeeling from Calcutta for her annual retreat. "I was to leave the convent and help the poor while living among them. It was an order. To fail would have been to break the faith."
Following this incident, she became a Catholic nun.
Hope this helps :)
