The Nizams kept power in Hyderabad State until 17 September 1948. Hyderabad at that point turned out to be a piece of the new Indian Union.
On eighteenth September 1948, Indian Army acknowledged the surrender of the Nizam of Hyderabad's armed force and Hyderabad turned into a piece of India.
