The Preamble to the Indian Constitution is based on the “Objective Resolution, drafted and moved by Pandit Nehru on December 13, 1946 ” adopted by the Constituent Assembly on January 22 , 1947. It was amended by the 42nd Constitutional Amendment Act 1976 with addition of three words - socialist secular and integrity.
