QuestioN :

When did patiya get the idea for his lantern?

Answer :

On sunday, after buying colourful decorating papers for the lantern decoration. Both of them started working on and on together.

As there was not enough room on the small parch for the lantern and two persons, Granny got inside the ( lantern ) framework and sat on the floor to cut paper and help patiya. On the other hand patiya stood on the chain outside and posted the pieces of paper on the framework.

By sunset, the lantern was still incomplete. Therefore, even after supper they worked continuously but still they couldn't finish.

The next day was the main festival day of the vesak celebrations. So, after coming from the temple at noon both of them resumed their work of finishing the lantern decoration.

By noon, Granny kept cutting out paper flowers and trimming. Patiya kept on posting them in a way he thought looked best. And finally after the lunch the cutting of strange shapes and lovely design by fixing them on lantern ended into a thing by beauty.
