the post master realised his mistake when his daughter was ill and he had not got any letter from her about her recovery.he was spending sleepless nights thinking about his daughter and he felt pity that he had a big mistake by talking rudely with ali who was waiting for his daughters single letter for the last 5years.

The chapter deals with the story of a old young man Ali who went to the post office daily in search for his daughter's letter.

Ali was a brilliant hunter who left hunting after he realized the pain behind separation. He had only one daughter Miriam who went to Punjab after her marriage and Ali was left all alone.

He went to the post office daily in hope of getting a letter from her daughter but unfortunately was never able to get it.
