Given : Raghav started a business with rs.1250 and Raghu with rs.3750 . profits at the end of the year are divided equally

To find : When did Raghu joined with Raghav

Solution:

Raghav Starting with Rs 1250

Profit at the end of  Year => after 12 months

Hence Raghav Effective  investment  = 1250 * 12

Let say Raghu joined after M months

then Raghu investment is for 12 - M  months

Raghu invested 3750

Raghu effective investment = 3750 ( 12 - M )

at the end of the year are divided equally

=> Their effective investments are equal

Hence  1250 * 12  = 3750 ( 12 - M )

=> 12 = 3 ( 12 - M)

=> 4 = 12 - M

=> M = 8

Raghu joined after 8 Months

Step-by-step explanation:

Given When did Raghu joined with Raghav, if Raghav started a business with rs.1250 and Raghu with rs.3750, if the profits at the end of the year are divided equally ?

  • Given Raghu joins Raghav in a business.
  • Raghav starts a business for Rs 1250.
  • At the end of the year it will be 1250 x 12 = 15,000
  • Also Raghu joins him with Rs 3750 = 3750 x t
  • Therefore we have the ratio and will be 1:1
  • 15,000 : 3750 n = 1 : 1
  • 4 / t = 1 / 1
  • Or t = 4
  • Therefore Raghu joined after 4 months
