Battle of Plassey was fought on 23rd June 1757 between the British and the then Nawab of Bengal, Nawab Siraj-ud-daulah.
Battle of Buxar was fought on 22nd October in the year 1764. Hector Munro was the commander of British East India company and the British army fought against the combined Army of Mir Qasim, Shuja-ud-daulah and King Shah Alam II.
Battle of Plassey was the beginning of expansion of British rule in India. Seeds of British expansion were sown during the Battle of Plassey which later on were expanded after Battle of Buxar.
After both of these Battles, the British had conquered the most influential parts of Northern India by defeating the most powerful Mughals at that time.
