On the night of December 2, 1984, chemical, methyl isocyanate (MIC) spilt out from Union Carbide India Ltd’s (UCIL’s) pesticide factory turned the city of Bhopal into a colossal gas chamber. It was India's first major industrial disaster. At least 30 tonnes of methyl isocyanate gas killed more than 15,000 people and affected over 600,000 workers. Bhopal gas tragedy is known as world's worst industrial disaster.

The Bhopal tragedy took place on 2 December,1984 was a sorrowful incident.On the night of 2nd December a chemical namely 'methyl Isocyanate' come out of the gas chamber which results in lost of many lives.Basically,this chemical is a pesticide which is highly hazardous for human beings and other organisms.Nearly,15,000 people died as many 6,00,000 + workers were affected due to this tragedy.

This incident is one of the world's worst industrial disaster.

UCIL factory was an American based which was set up in 1969 in Bhopal responsible for producing Methyl isocyanate' (pesticides).

Doctors were also incapable for the treatment of this incident.Those who were affected run on the street and starts vomiting and after sometime died.

Know about Methyl Isocyanate is a colorless liquid which is used in making pesticides.It is more reactive substance if it is maintained properly than it is safe but when it exposes water it produces a lot of heat which even can damage a huge life and property.
