When the Britishers ruled on Indians then they give priority for cultivation of Indigo cultivation as these indigo are used for making dyes,colouring clothes..etc. which is required for the Britishers by their trading i.e. by their clothing industries as raw material during 18th century.No,one is allowed to grow food crops without their permission in India.
