Hey Friend,
The First World War was fought from 1914 to 1919 between the Allied Powers consisting of France, England and Russia and the Central Powers comprising Germany and Austria-Hungary. Other powers like the USA, Japan, Turkey and Bulgaria later joined the war.
The main causes of the First World War were...Militant nationalism, Race for Armaments, Division of Europe into two groups, International tension and Sarajevo Crisis.
Hope it helps!
