After sailing down to the western coast of Africa and the cape of good Hope vasco Da Gama expedition made stops in Africa before reaching the trading post of Calicut,India in May 1498.
He went on second expedition to India in 1502.During His second expedition he Brutally clashed with Muslim traders in the region.
In December 1524 he arrived in Goa for combating Corruption which was harmful for Portuguese government in India .But He soon fell ill and died in 1524 in Cochin.
