Fear of water began in the mind of William Douglas from two incidents of his life experience .

1) when he was three or four years old and he went to beach with his father . Then a strong wave comes and knocked him very badly that he swept in water . It creates fear of water in mind and heart of William .

2) Second time , when he went to Y.M.C.A. pool and he sat on the side of pool . Then a big boy came , picked the William and tossed him into the pool .

The author developed the great fear of water at the age of 4 when he was with his father. He went to California beach with his father. Standing on the shore, an over powered wave knocked him down. His father laughed at it but this incident rooted the fear of water in his heart.
