When different wires of same dimensions but different materials connected such that these are joined end to end then what happens to the potential difference across each wire?

Let RS be the equivalent resistances of the wires if connected in series and RP be the equivalent resistances of the wires if connected in parallel

Then RS =R+R=2R ---->(1)

If the wires of different material are used, then their resistance will change since the resistance also depends upon the nature of material and if the resistance will change the potential difference across the two ends of the wire would be different. since V=IR, which means potential difference also depends upon resistance of wire.
