x = -3

now put the value in f(x)

according to questions

f(-3) = -48

(-3)³ + n(-3)² + 4(-3)n - 6 = -48

-27 + 9n - 12n - 6 = -48

-33 - 3n = - 48

3n = 48 - 33

3n = 15

n = 5
