other plants take up co2 in the day time

desert plants on the other hand to reduce water loss through transpiration take co2 in night time

as when stomata is opened there is a heavy loss of transpiration.....so co2 taken by stomata is done in night..

Answer:

the desert plants take carbon dioxide during night because stomata of these plants is scotoactive ( stomata open during night and closed during day )

while other plants have photoactive stomata which opens during day
