Stomata controls gas exchange in leaf.
Each stomata can be opened or closed depending upon how turgid its gurd cells are. In light the gurd cells absorb by osmosis, become turgid and stomata opens. In dark the gurd cells loss water and become flaccid and the stomata closes.
