When do iron, cobalt, nickel behave like temporary magnets? Can an eraser, a plastic cap behave like
temporary magnets? Why or Why not?

Answer:

actually metal sometimes behaves like magnit if they capt for sometime with its magnetic components or by Eloctromegnetic rules, but plastic like rubber eraser and cap cant play any role in Eloctromegnetics ,so they r not capable of showing magnetic effect.

All not metals are or can be magnets. Iron, cobalt, nickel can be temporary magnets. They behave like temporary magnets when an horseshoe magnet is kept near it, they generate the magnetic fields and Iron, cobalt, nickel will behave like temporary magnets.

An eraser and a plastic cap cannot behave like temporary magnets, because they are non-metals and cannot generate magnetic fields around them.
