Answer:

I was born in a family of four children and two parents. Thus six and i was 7th.( my three younger brothers were born after me). So a family of 10 with my father having a small hardware shop. But life was comfortable as we got enough to eat and clothes to wear. We lived in rented house. We were comparatively richer as compared to families from pakistan settled in our town after partition. We eight children were all school going and never felt poverty. Then my eldest sister was married and then 2nd sister was married and we supplemented our fathers income by making paper envelops.Even then i never felt poor. Then i was in 8th and selected among ten toppers of class. Our class teacher did one smart move and created competition among us ten. So i had to start studying. In 8th i did extra home work upto 11.00 pm and again got up at 5.0 am. Life was going on i passed 8th with good marks and then 9th and tenth and 11th was Board exam , though i secured good marks , my Principal called me and he was not satisfied with my result.

I ws advised to go study in DAV JALANDHAR, SOME 300 kms away. Inspite of my family resistance , i joined DAV JALANDHAR and then to Btech course. Till this time i had only two substandard pants while my room mate had six pants. But i never felt poor. I graduated , joined gazetted job and my father asked me how much i earn? After listening to my reply , he told me to leave job and join business. But i never left job as i was feeling breathless at home. But i never felt poor. Got married , had three kids and moved on scooter with wife and three kids but never felt poor. My son is hearing impaired but i never felt poor. I had courage.

Then after 14 yrs of marriage , my one relative felt , we needed car , so he got me second hand fiat for 40000. I was happy but never felt poor even with driving scooter with wife and three kids on it. Now i think i am poor as i am not having any courage or energy left in me . All three children settled. I am retired.

So poverty is not in pocket, its in mind.

Answer:

We realize how poor our current vision is when we get a new and better paradigm/example than us.
