When do we say that two liquids are immiscible? Explain taking a suitable example.

✔Two liquids are said to be immiscible if the constituent of the first mixture do not mix with the Constituents of the second mixture .

Let's take a simple example of Oil and water .

Oil is immiscible in water . That means oil does not dissolve in water . Instead it forms a separate layer on top of water .

Two liquids are immiscible when the constituents of one liquid does not mix with the constituents of other liquids... and also mainly because different liquids have diffrent densities...

Eg: kerosene oil and water do not mix because oil is less denser than water , causing the oil to float on top of water...
