Answer:

hii

Explanation:

Work is said to be done when force is applied on an object moves through a distance in the direction of application of force.

lt is same as the product of force and displacement.lf we applies force on a body displaces towards the direction of force then it is called work is done.

Answer:

We say that work is done when a force applied on a body causes a net displacement in the body .

From the above mentioned points there is a formula to calculate the work done which is:

Work(W) = Force(F) .Displacement (S) . cos theta

where theta is the angle made between the force applied and the displacement in which the body moves.

Note: We always calculate the product by writing a dot between force and displacement because work done is expressed as a dot product of force and displacement.

Interesting Fact : The work done by a fielder to take a catch is negative because the force applied by the hands of the fielder is opposite to the direction of the body thus making an angle of 180°

Thus , cos theta = 180

cos 180 = -1

Thus , W = -1(F. S)
