When do we use Newton's 2nd law of Momentum and the conservation of momentum? In which cases so we use them?

We use them with respect to collisions. When a body collides, it's initial and final momentum vary, and/or change, but the total momentum of the system remains constant (law of conservation of momentum). This is uses in elastic, inelastic, and explosive collisions.
