Answer:

On a rainy day we can see a rainbow . Rainbow occurs when the white light of sun passes through rainwater droplets, the white light of sun scatters into its component colours thus leading to formation of a rainbow.

It's component colours are -

Violet

Indigo

Blue

Green

Yellow

Orange

Red

We see the similar kind of spread of colours when sunlight passes through a prism.

Laws of reflection -

The incident ray, normal and reflected ray all lie in the same plane.
